1. Program description
When you enroll in the SoCal Interventional SMS program, you may receive account notifications related to your interaction with our practice. Messages may include appointment requests or confirmations, scheduling follow-up, office instructions, or responses to questions you asked. SMS is not monitored as an emergency service and should not be used for urgent medical needs. Call 911 for an emergency.
2. Consent and how to opt in
You may opt in by checking the SMS consent box on an online form, providing documented verbal consent during a call, or completing a written consent where available. By opting in, you authorize SoCal Interventional and vendors acting solely on our behalf to send automated or non-automated text messages to the mobile number you provided.
You represent that you are at least 18 years old, are the subscriber or customary user of the number, and are authorized to enroll it. Notify us if the number changes or is reassigned. We may retain opt-in and opt-out records as required for compliance.
3. Message frequency and charges
Message frequency varies. Most participants receive no more than two messages per week, although additional messages may be sent around an appointment or in response to your request. Message and data rates may apply according to your wireless plan. SoCal Interventional does not charge a separate fee for the SMS program.
4. Opt-out and help instructions
We may also recognize equivalent opt-out keywords where supported. After you opt out, you will not receive further SMS messages from this program unless you enroll again. Opting out of SMS does not prevent you from contacting us by phone or email and does not affect your care.
5. Carriers, delivery, and availability
Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to network availability, your device and plan, and factors outside our control. Supported carriers and program availability may change. SMS may not be available in all locations or on all devices. We do not guarantee that a message will be timely, complete, private, or received.
6. Privacy and use of mobile information
We use your mobile number and consent information to operate the messaging program, maintain compliance records, and communicate as described above. Mobile opt-in information and SMS consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We may provide this information to service providers that transmit or support messages solely on our behalf, or disclose it when required by law.
Text messages may not be encrypted and may be visible to anyone with access to your device or wireless account. Avoid including highly sensitive information in a text. For more information, review our Privacy Policy.
7. Changes, suspension, and termination
We may change, suspend, or end the SMS program or these terms at any time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised date. We may suspend messaging to a number we believe is invalid, reassigned, associated with abuse, or presents a security or compliance concern.
